 芋焼酎の仕込みが真っ最中です。
 臼杵市の丘陵地帯で栽培された高糖度甘藷「甘太くん」を使用。熊本国税局酒類鑑評会で5年連続優等賞を授賞しています。
 事務所と瓶詰から芋の下処理を交代で応援。今年も美味しい焼酎が出来ますように。(写真右は芋焼酎のもろみ)

Barley Shochu Tsunezo Breeze and Sweet Potato Shochu Tsunezo Win Excellence Awards (April 22, 2025)

At the 2025 Kumamoto Regional Taxation Bureau Sake Appraisal, both our barley shochu Tsunezo Breeze and sweet potato shochu Tsunezo received Excellence Awards.

 

Tsunezo Breeze, a barley shochu, is made using Toyonohoshi barley grown in Usuki City and Bungo-Ono City in Oita Prefecture. It also won an Excellence Award in the newly established “highball” category. So I highly recommend trying it as a highball.

 

The sweet potato shochu Tsunezo is made using Beniharuka (known locally as Kanta-kun) sweet potatoes from Usuki City, and Oita yeast.
Both award-winning shochus are products with a deep connection to the local Oita region and are much loved by the local community.
